Earlier this year, New York ambient artist Terre Thaemlitz emerged from obscurity releasing a brilliant 12" on his own Comatonse label, "Raw Through A Straw" / "Tranquilizer", gaining the attention of Mixmaster Morris among others. Now signed to Instinct, Terre has released his full-length debut. With a minimal setup, Thaemlitz creates deep mesmerizing soundscapes with a sense of warmth by using dialogue, guitar textures, or subtle percussion to draw in and completely envelop the listener.
